あと一日で６月も終わり、夏が近づいて来ました。

夏は腕時計が目立つ時期なので、デザインにこだわる方がいらっしゃると思います。

ほしいかもで人気のMr Jones WatchesのSun and Moonを紹介します。

この腕時計は太陽と月をベースに文字盤が昼と夜に変わり、時刻を表示しています。

絵の中の太陽と月の位置が時針を示しています。中央の針は分針を示しています。

このデザインは1600年代のイギリスで太陽と月で時間を測ろうとしたことに興味を持ったデザイナーのクリスピン・ジョーンズが手掛けました。

Summer will come again.

Today we introduce a watch Sun and Moon from Mr Jones Watches.

Sun and Moon shows the time based on the position of the Sun or Moon in the sky on the watch face. The minutes are displayed in the centers dial. 

Sun and Moon watch was first produced in Britain in the late 1600s during a period of experimentation with ways to represent the time.
