今月は私たちのオリジナル腕時計ヒュッゲの新アンバサダーを迎えました。

書家・アーティスト ＆ GALLERY KAI主宰　高田 伊知子です！

「高田伊知子は国立音楽大学付属高等学校卒業後渡米し、パーソンズ美術大学・ファッションデザイン科を卒業。NYのファッションデザインオフィスでキャリアをスタートしました。

1996年に帰国後は6歳より続けてきた書道に新たな道を見つけます。書を女流書家の大家・矢萩春恵、篆刻を日展作家・吉永隆山に師事しながら書や文字をベースにしたアート作品の制作、デザインを手掛けてきましたが2013年、吉祥寺にGALLERY KAIをオープン。翌年にはギャラリー敷地内に「鮓処米八なりさわ」を開店。

創作活動を続けながらギャラリーと鮓処がアートと人との出会いの場、日本の食文化を伝える場となることを目指し多岐にわたる活動をしています。」（HYGGE WEBSITEより）

Hello!

Today, I would like to introduce the new ambassadress of Hygge Ms Ichiko Takada, Shodo Artist and GALLERY KAI’S owner.

I have met Ichiko Takada several times these past months and are pleased to introduce her on Hoshiikamo Times. But her official introduction on the Hygge website would talk better than my words.

“Ichiko Takada started learning Shodo, the Japanese calligraphy, at an early age. After graduating from Kunitachi College of Music Senior High School in Tokyo, she moved to New York and graduated from Parsons The New School for Design in 1992 with a BFA in Fashion Design.

Ichiko Takada began her career as an assistant designer for a fashion design office in New York, and later worked as freelance designer. In 1996, she returned to Tokyo and studied Shodo(Japanese calligraphy) under the great master calligrapher Sunkei Yahagi and Tenkoku (seal engraving) under the master Ryuzan Yoshinaga.
Since then, she has been creating art pieces and designs as Shodo artist. In 2013, her career took another step forward with the opening of the Gallery Kai, followed by Yonehachi Narisawa an authentic sushi restaurant located next to the gallery in Kichijoji, Tokyo.”
