It has been a long time but today I would like to talk with pleasure about Miss Hama our favourite table coordinator and flower arrangement. This month again, She offers a beautiful edition of her book “Florist”; for Christmas she introduces table settings with the theme of modern Scandinavia and Christmas. We were also delighted to Ms. Hama using our lovely small figures Nordika. To have a glimpse of her talents, please take a look of the photo above!

11月1日は「J-Day 2013」でした！「J-Day 2013」はデンマークから「TUBORG（ツボルグ）」のクリスマス限定ビール解禁イベントです。デンマーク商工会議所のおかげで、今年も東京で「J-Day 2013」パーティーがありました!とても楽しかった！下記はイベントの写真とデンマークで見える「TUBORG（ツボルグ）」のクリスマス限定ビールのCMです！

「TUBORG（ツボルグ）」

Hello!

On the 1^st day of November and as we enjoy every year, we celebrated the “J-Day” to launch the Tuborg Christmas beer! Thanks to the Danish Chamber of Commerce, this year again we had the chance to drink this delicious beer in Tokyo!

But for people who want to find out more about it, please read the nice introduction from the Danish Chamber of Commerce and also watch the commercial above!

“Carlsberg’s brewery in Valby, Copenhagen was founded by JC Jacobsen on 10th November 1847. In 1970, Carlsberg merged with the other leading Danish brewery, Tuborg, making it the largest beer company in Denmark. Tuborg known for making a variety of unique beer for the Danish market, including Tuborg Julebryg, or the Christmas Brew Most Danes know the blue and white advertisement for Tuborg Julebryg (Tuborg Christmas Brew). But probably not many know that the famous animated commercial, which features Santa Claus in blue clothing, is actually older than the beer itself. The commercial was originally launched in 1980 as a special holiday commercial for ordinary Tuborg pilsner, but it became so popular that for Christmas 1981 we created the special Tuborg Julebryg.

Although Tuborg Julebryg is a seasonal beer and is only on the market for six weeks every year, it is still Denmark’s fourth best selling beer. Its launch, known as “J-day”, always takes place on the first Friday of every November and is an annual day of celebration across Denmark. Carlsberg employees drive around the bars and cafes, handing out free beer to really get the festive season started.

Tuborg Julebryg is a bottom-fermented, wiener beer brewed on lager, münchener and caramel malt with English liquorice. The beer is dark-golden with a fresh aroma of caramel, grain, liquorice and blackcurrant. It's excellent with traditional Christmas recipes, smoked fish, grilled/fried herring, smoked ham with curly kale, roast pork and duck.” (by the Danish Chamber of commerce in Tokyo).

デンマークのエッセイ社はデザイナーのジョン・ブラウアーを中心に、遊び心とアートのような美しさを備えた製品を多く送り出しています。彼らが生み出したBinBinは500以上の紙を潰し、最も形の美しい物をベースに作られました。またテーブルクロスを広げた形の様なIllusionは職人が手作業でヒダを成形しており、ひとつとして同じものはありません。そのデザイン性の高さはレッドドット賞や日本のグッドデザイン賞などにおいて高く評価されました。
